Joe Garcia Joe Black, age 61, of Clovis, New Mexico passed away on January 7, 2013 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, New Mexico.

Joe was born on September 14, 1951 in Clovis to Melaquas and Eloisa Segura Garcia. Joe was raised in Clovis and he worked as a counselor. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam. He enjoyed collecting, music, working on cars and spending time with his family. He loved his grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Joe is survived by one daughter: Paula Castillo Franklin of Clovis, New Mexico one son: Adrian Garcia Amy of Palm Springs, California six brothers: Lupe Garcia of Lubbock, Texas, Roman Garcia, Florencio Garcia, Melaquas Garcia, Jr., Raymond Garcia and Evaristo Garcia, all of Clovis, New Mexico three sisters: Ennen Ruiz of Clovis, New Mexico, Mary Pasty Garcia of Alamogordo, New Mexico and Rebecca Lucero of Las Cruces, New Mexico six grandchildren: Ashley Garcia, Aaron Garcia, Jordan Garcia, Matthew Garcia, Elizabeth Garcia and Jammin Garcia and one great grandchild: Amiah Basped.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Carlos Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis, New Mexico.
