JR was born May 6, 1929 in Lariet, Texas to Joseph and Maggie Robertson. He passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2011 in Amarillo, Texas at the VA Hospital.

JR worked as a auto mechanic for John Parker Dodge, Watson Motor, and then owned his own business Farwell Stateline Motor Exchange for many years. He loved to play 42 with his brother and be with his family.

He is survived by his son Clint Robertson of Farwell, Texas one brother Cotton Robertson of Farwell, Texas longtime companion Anneliese Donaghe of Clovis, New Mexico her son Roland Donaghe and her daughter Susie Donaghe. He is preceded in death by his Mother and Father, two brothers, and five sisters.
