Joy Mae Lathram Lawson, 81, of Clovis passed away on May 31, 2015 in Clovis.
Visitation will be 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, Tuesday June 2, 2015 at Steed Todd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday June 4, 2015 at Prince Street Baptist with Tommy Hohstadt officiating. Burial will follow at Pilot Point, TX Community Cemetery.
Joy was born in Hedley, TX to Ethel and Douglas Lathram on December 27, 1933. She went to school in Shamrock, TX. In 2001, Joy graduated from Clovis Community College with an Associates degree. She married Dannie Ernest Laswon on February 22, 1951 in Wheeler, TX. Joy was a homemaker, she also was a housekeeper, and worked in the Flea Market Business.
She is preceded in death by her husband Dannie Lawson, son Ernie Lee Lawson, 3 sisters; Pasty Frost, Betty Briley and Paula Stechebar, brother Doyle Lathram, and grandson Micheal Lee Lawson.
Joy is survived by her children Patricia Cliche, of the home, Ruby Lawson, of Clovis, Tina Lawson, of Clovis, Sam Lawson, of the home, Dan and Peggy Lawson, of Clovis, Millie Lawson, of the home, Trudy Stanley, of the home, brother Curtis Lathram, and sisters Rita-Joe Wojociechowski and Kenneth and Delilah Hester. 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandsons.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Clovis.
