Joyce Deavours, 80, of Texico, New Mexico, died Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Kindred Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. She was born January 19, 1932 in Clovis, New Mexico to Clyde Nellie Mullinax

Joyce resided in Curry County all of her life. She worked at the Ford House for 10 year, several years in banking and was Curry County Treasurer for 10 years.

Joyce is survived by her two sons Eugene Gene Blackburn Sherri and Donnie Blackburn Chris both of Amarillo, Texas 2 step children Bruce Robert Deavours Rebecca of Ft. Collins, Colorado and Sue Deavours of Ruidoso, New Mexico step daughterinlaw, Kathy Deavours of Loveland, Colorado grandchildren Eric Ryan Blackburn, Lilly Eager, Laura Lovato, David Martinez, Daniel Lamb, Amanda Weigle, Presley Blackburn and 18 great grandchildren sister inlaw Barbara Mullinax of Clovis, NM brotherinlaw Hurshel P. Deavours Sue of Frederick, Maryland.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bruce Deavours, her parents and daughter Connie Sue Blackburn, siblings Bud Mullinax, Jerry Mullinax, Vivian Murdick, Sylvia Burgett.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flower may be sent to The Baptist Children Home of Portales.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Grady Cemetery in Grady, New Mexico.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 24 on Sunday, January 29th.
