Joyce Sneed

Joyce was born February 3, 1942, in Big Springs, TX to Clyde and Lillian Bloodworth. She grew up in Seagraves, TX. She graduated from Seagraves High School in 1960, where she played volleyball and was a part of the theater club.

Joyce married the love of her life, Tommy Sneed, on June 1, 1961. She & Tommy were married for 61 years. She and Tommy moved to Clovis, NM in 1965. They raised three children Darla, Tammy, and Breck. Joyce worked for the telephone company and was a Mary Kay representative. Then Joyce worked helping Tommy in the office of Sneed’s Auto before going to work for Bud Johnson State Farm Insurance where she worked until retirement. In 2021 Joyce & Tommy moved to Amarillo, TX.

Joyce had a passion for studying God’s word. She read her Bible and journaled every day. She loved her family most of all and took great pride in showing off her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Joyce had a green thumb and spent a lot of time in her plant room and pulling weeds, even for the neighbors!

She is survived by her daughters Darla (Wayland) Beller of Rogers, AR, Tammy (Calvin) Boston of Amarillo, TX; and son Breck (Kristi) Sneed of Clovis, NM; eight grandchildren: Layne (Caitlin) Beller, Austin Biddle, Justin (Nicole) Biddle, Lauren (Nick) Sneed, Jordan Sneed, Tyler (Karina) Beller, Connor Sparks, Faith (Bryce) Jimenez, seven great-grandchildren: Lucy Beller, Freddie Beller, Penelope Beller, Archer Beller, Journey Biddle, Brightynn Biddle and Klein Jimenez.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Sneed; her parents, Clyde and Lillian Bloodworth; twin brother Royce Bloodworth, and brother Donald Bloodworth.

A memorial service will be held at Highland Baptist Church at 2201 N. Main Street on August 25, 2023 at 10:00 am Mountain time in Clovis, New Mexico.
