Juan Sanchez

Juan Sanchez, age 50, of Clovis, NM, passed away in Lubbock, TX on Saturday, June 3, 2017. He was born on March 28, 1967 in Torreoncito, Chihuahua, Mexico. He married Estella Gallegos on February 14, 1998 in Clovis, NM. He formally lived in Deming, NM prior to moving to Clovis.

Juan had a love for Spanish music and a passion for singing. He enjoyed going to Casinos, and scratching Lottery Tickets, and cooking. He also enjoyed going to estate auctions and traveling to go see his family in Mexico. Juan loved his Chihuahua puppies Cocoa, Lucky, Wetita, and Jr., they were like his kids. He was a loving husband, son, and brother. He took very good care of his wife. He was a very generous man with a heart of gold. Juan worked for Walmart in Clovis for many years and enjoyed it very much.

He is survived by his wife, Estella of the home; a step-son Jose (Mirna) Tafoya and their Son Josue of Deming, NM; his mother Cristina of Torreoncito, Mexico; four brothers; six sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, June 9, 2017 at 2:00pm. Serving as Casket Bearers are Johnny Hidalgo, Mario Castillano, Macario Garcia, Jose Tafoya, and Bobby Echerivel. Honorary Casket Bearers are all the employees at Walmart Supercenter in Clovis, NM.
