Juanita Jane St. Clair Hadley was born in Lubbock, Texas on September 17, 1943 to John and Edith St. Clair. Juanita lived and attended school in Cotton Center, Texas until she was in the sixth grade when her family moved to Muleshoe, Texas. She graduated from Muleshoe in 1962, and then went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees, both in English, from West Texas State University.

Juanita began her thirtysix year teaching career in 1968 at Hart High School in Hart, Texas. She then taught at Carver Junior High in Amarillo, Texas from 19691972. The next twentyfive years of her life were spent molding, challenging, and enriching the lives of her kids at Texico Municipal Schools. She retired from Texico in 1998 however, the classroom beckoned to her, and in 2000 she began teaching at Friona High school.
She permanently retired in 2004, so she could spend time enjoying and supporting her grandkids.

She is survived by her two children, Allan Robin Myers and Jessica Hadley, five grandchildren, Allison, John, Hannah, and Josh Myers and Elizabeth French, all of Texico, one sister, Darlene Pierce of Muleshoe, a sisterinlaw, Jannette St. Clair of Austin, Texas, nieces, nephews and cousins. Last but not least, she is survived by all of the kiddos she taught. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Johnie St. Clair, a nephew, Johnny Lee St. Clair, and a brotherinlaw, I.V. Pierce.

Juanita was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 10, 2014 in Lubbock after a very short, but hard, battle with breast cancer.
