Juanita Faye Stover, 88, of Clovis died Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. She was born August 20, 1918 in Canadian, Texas to S. R. and Mable Francis Van Buskirk. The family moved to several small communities in West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. She graduated from high school in Raton, NM in 1936. Juanita married James E. Stover in Belen, NM on August 15, 1936.
She was a homemaker all her life, and enjoyed knitting and crotcheting. In retirement she and her husband enjoyed R.V.ing and went to several places around the country.
Mrs. Stover is survived by one daughter, Vicki Carter Ken of Clovis, three brothers, Marvin Van Buskirk and Francis Van Buskirk Jeri both of Santa Fe, and William Van Buskirk Barbara of Lake Stevens, Washington, 4 grandchildren, Melissa Sinclair, Timothy L. Overman, Janet Porter Gene, and Keneth R. Carter Roisin, 3 great-grandchilden, Casey Garza, Hilary Carter, and Jessica Carter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Smokey Stover in 2006, one son, James E. Stover Jr., one brother, Keneth Van Buskirk, five sister-in-laws, and one brother-in-law.
Graveside services for Mrs. Stover will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis with the Rev. Louis Pattison, officiating.
