Julia Molina, 81, of Clovis, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. She was born April 1, 1929 to Jose and Adela Lopez Gallegos in Greeley, Colorado.
Julia moved to Clovis at the age of 9. She married Juan Molina on September 11, 1949, and worked in their home, then as a Dietitian for Clovis Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed bingo, going to casinos, and word puzzles, but most of all she enjoyed her family. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Juan Molina one sister, Cleo Castillo 4 daughters, Maria Mauricio Solano of Las Vegas, Nevada, Gloria Estrada, Louisa Mares, and Janie Steve Moncayo, all of Clovis 15 grandchildren 33 greatgrandchildren, 5 greatgreatgrandchildren, and family friend Pamela Gregory of Portales. She is preceded in death by one son Johnny Molina, one daughter Elisa Vicuna, four brothers, four sisters and her parents.
A Rosary will be held on Friday, July 16, 2010, 7:00 p.m. at SteedTodd Chapel. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2010, 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Sotero Sena officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be J.J. Gomez, Daniel Vicuna, Luis Perez, Fernando Vicuna, Larry Gomes, R.C. Urioste, Victor Mares, Javier Molina, and Frankie Estrada. Honorary pallbearers are the greatgrandchildren and greatgreatgrandchildren.
