Kanaya Long

Kanaya Makayla Long, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away on March 30, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. Viewing will be held Monday April 14, 2025, from 9-5 at Steed-Todd Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 15, 2025 starting at 1:00pm at Steed-Todd Funeral Home with Reverend Anthony Mahan, Reverend Ronnie William Lash, Minister Geraldine Marlow and Minister Marcie Steward officiating the service. Burial will follow at Sunset Terrace Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements have been made with Steed-Todd Funeral Home.

There will be a repast after the funeral services located at Triangle Baptist Church. 3211 Caesar Chavez, Clovis, New Mexico. Any food dishes may be dropped off at Triangle Baptist Church between 11am and 12pm and as you arrive to the repast at 2:30pm.

Kanaya Makayla Long, was born in Denver, Colorado to Brandon Long and Sky Steward. She attended Clovis High School. She worked as a Homecare Aid. Her favorite hobbies were shopping the thrift stores, going to garage sales, listening to music and writing poems.

Kanaya Makayla Long is preceded in death by her great grandparents Milton Senior and Thelm V. Long, and Albert Senior and Mercie Lee Steward.

Kanaya Makayla Long, is survived by her mother: Sky Steward, father: Brandon Long, brother: Kymani Steward, Grandparents: JL and Marie Jones, Samuel Warren and Maechele Long and Mike Mayfield, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
