Karen Casillas

Karen Casillas, 43, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009. She was born February 4, 1966, in Haskell, Texas to Edward Esther Garcia Casillas.

Karen was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and daughter. She had a heart big enough for the world.

Survivors include her husband, Gerardo Hernandez; 7 children, Adam Casillas, Mary Roman, Adrian Casillas, Lupita Casillas, Aurora Casillas, Josie Casillas and Jacob Campa all of Clovis; 11 grandchildren and one on the way; her mother, Esther Zera; 3 brothers, Edward Casillas, Eddie Joe Casillas Steven Casillas and 5 sisters, Lupe Casillas, Debra Ramirez, Sandra Gonzales, Patricia Ortega and Sylvia Sanchez.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Casillas; her stepfather, T. J. Zera and 2 nieces, Rosa Robles and Carmen Martinez.

A rosary will be held before the service at 1:00 p.m. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2009, at Steed-Todd Chapel with Father Carlos Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Adrian Casillas, Adam Casillas, Geraldo Hernandez, Eddie Casillas, Edward Casillas, Steve Casillas, Jacob Campa and Salvador Roman.
