Karolyn McGehee

Kay McGehee left this world on February 17th, 2025.

She was a force in this world. She was a beautiful, fierce, intelligent, sassy and unique woman. She had a beautiful heart and cared so deeply for those she loved.

She was a lifelong warrior for women's rights and social justice. She loved nature, birds and cats. She had a deep love for learning, books, creativity, and poetry.

She loved New Mexico but also loved the years she spent by the beach in Wilmington, NC. She impacted everyone she met so deeply. She was warm and kind and had a beautiful smile. She loved music and dancing and she was so much fun.

She leaves behind a family that adored her and will forever hold her so dear. We will never stop missing her. The world shone brighter when she was here.

She was proceeded in death by the love of her life, Jerald McGehee. She was his "Little Lady."
