Kenneth Blevins

Kenneth Lee Blevins, age 76, of Portales, NM, passed away on November 14, 2013 at his home in Portales, NM.

Kenneth was born on July 31, 1937 to J.W. and Bertha Gadberry Blevins in Artesia, NM. He married Alice Vera Pilgrim on April 13, 1959 in Stephenville, New Foundland, Canada. Kenneth was the Commissary Manager at Cannon Air Force Base and was also the manager of the largest commissary at WrightPat Air Force Base in Ohio. He was a member of Church of Christ in Artesia, NM. Kenneth enjoyed fishing, wood carving, driving his truck and traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Blevins, of the home in Portales, NM two sons: Lee and Brenda Blevins of Artesia, NM and Kenneth Blevins of Portales, NM two daughters: Beverly Grubbs and Kathy and Rick Woods, all of Portales, NM grandchildren: Sheri and Kris Thomas, Bobby and Paula Grubbs, Brandon and Lisa Blevins, Joel and KC Grubbs, John and Katie Grubbs, Sandy and Joseph Beaty, Mechiel Grubbs, Christopher Anthony and Elaine and Chris Nettles twenty great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother, father, brothers and sisters.

Memorial services are at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Southside Church of Christ in Portales, NM with Don Thomas officiating. Honorary casket bearers are Dr. Cordero, Larry McCormick, David Stroud and David Jones. Military Honors will be presented by Cannon Air Force Base Honor Guard.
