Kristie Hester

Kristie Hester, 45, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Sunday, February 1, 2009 at her home in Clovis. She was born December 30, 1963 in Tacoma, Washington, to George Marie Medlock Zednick.

She had been a resident of Clovis since 1997, moving to Clovis from Tularosa. She owned and operated a beauty salon in Melrose and later worked for Pro Cuts for many years. She also worked for Plains Regional Medical Center and at the time she became ill she worked for the Womens Medical Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Odessa, Texas and attended First Baptist Church in Melrose, New Mexico.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Hester, of the home; her mother, Marie Medlock of Odessa, Texas; her father, George Zednick Barbara of Artesia, New Mexico; father-in-law, Eugene Hester of Clovis, New Mexico; daughters, Melissa Gulley Jason of Odessa, Kristina Hall of Clovis and Tory Kropf Troy of Portales, New Mexico; brothers, Jimmy Zednick Melissa of Copperas Cove, Texas and Scott Zednick Julie of Savannah, Georgia; sisters, Michelle Dixon of Odessa; step sisters, Shirlene Ryan Joe of Bayfield, Colorado, Sharma Joyce David and Misti Jackson Keith all of Artesia, New Mexico; grandchildren, Isaiah Houston, Aviana Hall, Jaylin Hall, Hayleigh Clemmer, Taylor Gulley, Conner Jones and Kaden Kropf; a large extended family and many special friends.

A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at Melrose Cemetery with Dr. J. Vaughn Gossman officiating.
