Launa Morse

Launa Peggy Morse passed from this life Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007 at the Senior Citizen Resident Center in Clovis. She was born Mar. 15, 1916 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma to Floyd and Blanche Lancaster.

Peggy married Lewis Racy Morse on Mar. 16, 1935 in Lawton, Oklahoma. She farmed and ranched in the Grady area with her husband Racy from 1943 until his death in 1995 and lived on the farm until October of 2006.

She is survived by one daughter, Sondra Lee Forrest and her husband Johnny of Clovis; two grandsons, John Mark Forrest and his wife Kerri of Clovis, and Clinton Lewis Forrest and his wife Tenisa of Rio Rancho, NM; and five great-grandchildren, Kirsty Faye, John Racy, Eryn Nicole, Ashton Linsey, and Alexa Rochelle. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1995, and three brothers, Floyd Don, Lawrence, and Charles.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at Kingswood United Methodist Church in Clovis at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Brad Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.
