Laurie Lane

Laurie Effie Lane passed away into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in her sleep on Friday afternoon September 21, 2018 in her daughter's home. She was 72 years old. Laurie was born on September 11, 1946 to parents Ralph and Frances Daykin in Glendive, Montana.

She received her Bachelors of Arts from the University of California in 1967. She met her husband Reuben Lane in 1962 and was married on December 31, 1967. Laurie and Reuben moved to Arizona where they raised their three children; Phillip, Jennifer and Kevin. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Laurie also instilled her knowledge and compassion into the minds of many children as she taught Kindergarten and First Grade for many years before retiring in 2008.

Laurie is survived by her husband of 50 years Reuben Lane, her three children, Phillip Lane, Jennifer Johnson and Kevin Lane, along with multiple grandchildren.

She was dearly loved by all who knew her, and she impacted many. To those who knew her, she was the sweetest, kindest most loving Christian woman with a true heart of gold. While she has departed this life to rejoice in the next, those that she has left behind will miss her dearly and love her always.

Memorial Services will be held on Oct 27, 2018 at 3:00pm at Highland Baptist Church. 2201 N. Main St, Clovis NM 88101.
