Lawrence Duran

Lawrence David Duran, 50, of Portales, New Mexico, died Friday, March 21, 2008 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, New Mexico. He was born February 16, 1958 in Portales to Fidel Beatrice Medina Duran.

He was a cement finisher.

He is survived by five sisters, Sophia Meece of Clovis, Julia Davis and Paula Musa both of Denver, Colorado, Emelina Bryant of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Irene Jasso of Portales; 7 brothers, Dennis Duran of Brownfield, Texas, Margarito of Grants, New Mexico, Carlos Duran of Las Vegas, New Mexico, Fidel Duran Jr. of Clovis, Richard Duran, Placido Duran of Portales and Manuel Duran of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Portales. A rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at St. Helen Catholic Church.
