Lela Moore

Lela Moore, age 90 of Clovis passed away Monday, February 7, 2011 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. She was born December 15, 1920 in Clovis, New Mexico to William and Minnie Box Beasley. She married John H. Moore on June 18, 1936 in Clovis, New Mexico. She farmed with her husband many years in the Portair Community. She was also a member of the Portair Club and the Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by two sons Bill Moore of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Fred Mellene Moore of Montainair, New Mexico one daughter Berta Arden Jayne of Eugene, Oregon one sister Jewel Laney of Farmington, New Mexico five grandchildren Gwen Moore of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Rex Melodi Jayne of Eugene, Oregon, Tamera Brad Miller of Eugene, Oregon, Jayson Dina Moore of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jamye Michelle Moore of Socorro, New Mexico six great grandchildren Brandon and MoyIm Jayne, Brittany Jayne, Janay and Ryan Stroup, Allison and David Howard all of Eugene, Oregon, Tyler Moore and Jaydin Moore both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma one great great grandson Graysen Stroup of Eugene, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her parents Husband John H. Moore one granddaughter Sheri Moore two sisters, Ollie Kempf and Faye Elms.

Services will be Friday, February 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Steed Todd Chapel with Rev. Dereck Owen officiating and Don Reid assisting. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis. Pallbearers will be Bill Moore, Fred Moore, Arden Jayne, Gwen Moore, Rex Jayne, Tamera Miller, Jayson Moore, and Jamye Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Bomar, Wayne Connell, Brandon Jayne, Brittany Jayne, Darla WhitneyWells, George Owen, Tyler Moore, and Jaydin Moore.
