Marcine Tipton, 80, of Texico, died on Saturday, December 9, 2006 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. She was born on July 27, 1926 in Norton, New Mexico to Joseph and Leona McCasland Pardue.
She married Thomas Jefferson T.J. Tipton on January 18, 1947 in Clovis, New Mexico. She was a long time resident of Curry County and attended school at Grady. She retired from the Texico Public Schools as the Nutritionist after 26 years of service in 1992. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Texico and the Texico Womens Club. She was also an honorary member of the Texico FFA. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by four sons - Skippy Tipton Moss Glenda and Frankie Tipton Vicki both of Clovis, Ronny Tipton Dottie of Portales, Charlie Tipton Susan of Tahoka, Texas; two daughters - Sandy Cox, and Debra Hall Gary both of Belen, New Mexico; one sister Elizabeth Barrow of Albuquerque; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister Helen Grawburg, and one brother Leland Pardue.
Services will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the Steed-Todd Chapel. Her grandson, Jereme Woodruff will officiate. Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.
Casket bearers will be Danny Moss, Marty Moss, Kevin Cox, Michael Tipton, Tyrl Tipton, Jereme Woodruff, Tommy Woodruff, Clayton Woodruff, Neal Hall, Travis Hall, and Terry Pardue. Honorary Casket Bearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
