Leo Stewart Dudley

Leo Dudley went home to be with the Lord on September 25, 2012 at the Clovis Healthcare and Rehab Center at the age of 72.

Leo was born on July 29, 1940 to B.C. Dudley and Wilma Person Dudley in St. Louis, Missouri.
He graduated from Kinloch High School in May 1958. After graduating from high school, he served time in the Air Force and later active duty in the Army Reserve. After being released from the Army Reserve he moved to Clovis where he met and married Chris Lucas on May 4, 2002. He worked at Cannon AFB in the 27th Logistics Readiness Squadron TMO. Leo was a deacon at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church and taught Sunday school. He was also a member of the Clovis Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission.

He is survived by his wife, Chris Dudley of the home six stepsons: Dereke Mims Sarolyn of Carrollton, Texas, Philip Mims Theresa of Anderson, South Carolina, Scott Mims Mary of Austin, Texas, Gary Mims of Aurora, Colorado, Keith Lucas Veronica of El Paso, Texas and Parren Lucas of Vancouver, Washington fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Funeral Services are at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at St Johns Baptist Church in Clovis, New Mexico with Rev. Billy Askew officiating. Serving as pallbearers are James Williams, Bruce Pollard, Douglas Hunter, William Cannon, William Hall and A. Houston. Honorary pall bearers are Dereke Mims, Philip Mims, Scott Mims, Gary Mims, Keith Lucas and Parren Lucas. Burial will be at the DallasFt. Worth National Cemetery.
