Leona Helm

Graveside Services for Leona B. Helm age 86 of Clovis, New Mexico will be held on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens with Garrett Bookout officiating and Mathew C. Helm, Fred A. Helm, Tyler E. Helm and Kenneth W. Ross serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Taylor Helm, Dylan Helm, Asher Helm, Keegan Vance, and Lucean Ross.

Leona was born February 23, 1927 in Olton, Texas to William Daughtery and Frankie Davis Stroud. Mrs. Helm passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Clovis Healthcare and Rehabilitation. Leona was a resident of Clovis since the 1940s and she worked as a switchboard operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone. She was a member of 16th and Pile Church of Christ.

She is survived by her grandchildren Fred and wife Amber Helm of Gilbert, Arizona Mathew C. and wife Flyshia Helm of San Angelo, Texas great grandchildren Dylan Helm, Serenity Helm, Keegan Vance, Asher Helm, Kaylie Helm, Taylor Helm, Tyler Helm, and Lucean Ross. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jake Helm, two sons Jesse L. Helm and Walter E. Helm.
