They moved to Lariat, Texas, where Eleanor and Geraldine were born, to farm. ln 1945 they moved to Clovis.brbrRobert was born a few years later. The love of nursing never left Leona and when Robert was 1 year old she began her nursing career at Clovis Memorial Hospital. She became known as Mitzie. She is remembered today for her dedication and compassion. Mitzie was the night supervisor for over 20 years. Upon retiring, she continued her career working at Retirement Ranch and Golden Age for 15 years.
