Lila Mcdaniel

Lila Faye McDaniel, age 80 of Logan, New Mexico, formerly of Farwell, Texas, passed away on May 21, 2012 at Wheatfields Senior Living in Clovis, New Mexico.

Lila was born on December 21, 1931 in Eakly, Oklahoma to Fred and Ethel Dowty Bond Moore. She was raised in Eakly. Lila married Duane McDaniel on December 22, 1967 in Dallas, Texas. Lila was a homemaker and a very loving wife and mother. She lived in Farwell, Texas and in Logan, New Mexico for most of her life. Lila was a member of First Baptist Church in Bovina, Texas. She was a very good cook and enjoyed sharing recipes with her friends.

Lila is survived by her husband, Duane McDaniel one daughter: Sonja Wilburn of Farwell, Texas two sons: Irvin McDaniel of Logan, New Mexico and Ken McDaniel of Farwell, Texas two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents an infant son two brothers: Archie Moore and J.T. Moore and one sister: Verla Buie.

Graveside Services are at 2:00 p.m. CDT on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Sunset Terrace Cemetery in Farwell, Texas with Pastor Frank Landry officiating.
