Lila May Lee Reynolds, 97, went to heaven December 29, 2012 in Clovis, New
Mexico.
Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 2, at Living Stones Community Church of the Nazarene, 1800 North Norris in Clovis, NM at 1:00 pm. Pastor Darwin Speicher will officiate and Pastor Wally Yeager will assist. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers are Jack Bell, Joel Burdell, Wilbur Cogdill, James Ferrell and David Petty.
Lila was born to W.C. and Ruth Lee in McCauley, Texas December 12, 1915. She married John H. Reynolds on June 5, 1937. They settled in Clovis, New Mexico after John returned from overseas duty during WWII. Lila had a zest for life, loved to tell jokes and play practical jokes on people. For many years, she taught Sunday School, both for children and for young adults and sang in the choir. She was known for her cinnamon rolls, sugar cookies and homemade bread.
Lila was preceded in death by her parents, W.C. and Ruth, her husband John, her brother Bud, and her sister Faye. She is survived by her sister in law, Barbara Lee, her brother in law, Leo Emmot, her daughters Linda Jim Davis, Barbara Don Slemp, Virginia Nathan McCreery and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Living Stones Church of the Nazarene, 1800 N. Norris, Clovis, New Mexico.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the wonderful staff at Hospice of
the Sandias, especially Illene and Vanessa, and Beehive Assisted Living, who
provided love and care during Lilas last few years.
