Lola Davis

Lola Davis, 80, of Melrose, New Mexico, died Sunday, November 18, 2007 at Odyssey Healthcare in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born June 22, 1927 in Bingham Canyon, Utah, to Levi Reel Mary Ann Christensen White.

She moved to Field, New Mexico in 1968 from Riverside, California. She married L. E. Davis August 16, 1968 in Muleshoe, Texas. She was a life member of the BPOE Does 108 and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 3280. She loved to bowl.

She is survived by her husband, L. E. Davis of the home in Melrose, New Mexico; 1 daughter, Elizabeth Pickett of Las Vegas, Nevada; 1 stepson, Larry D. Davis Terri of Melrose, New Mexico; 2 stepdaughters, Donna Fay Davis Rhonda Lynn Davis both of Bloomington, California; 1 brother, Lee R. White of San Jose, California; 1 sister, Marilyn Wilbert of Pennsylvania; 7 grandchildren, Steven ONeal, Lisa Lina Wright, Robert Davis, Gary Davis, Larry Paul Davis, Jamie Crider and Matt Jones, and 9 great grandchildren, Connor ONeal, Ryne ONeal, River Wright, Wesley Wright, Josie Marie Carothers, Nicholas Davis, Reanna Davis, Trent Davis, Christian Crider Hayden Crider. She was preceded in death by her parents;1 grandson, Dwight Davis and 1 sister, Betty Cripps.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis with Doyle Young officiating. Burial will follow at Field Cemetery in Field, New Mexico. Casket bearers will be Cody Moberly, Larry Moberly, Roger Martell, Tex Belcher Bart Bartkowski. Honorary casket bearers will be all members of the BPOE Does 108 and the VFW Auxiliary 3280.
