Lola Harriman

Services for Lola Harriman, 92 of Clovis formerly of Portales will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2008 at Steed Todd Chapel in Clovis with Cecil Bunch officiating. Burial will follow at the Texico Cemetery in Texico, New Mexico. Pallbearers will be David Wagner, Darrell Cormier, Douglas Schwartz, Chad Chandler, Carl Mahan, and Scott Schumpert.

Mrs. Harriman passed away on Monday, September 22, 2008 at St. Anthony Healthcare and Rehab Center in Clovis. She was born August 14, 1916 in Antioch, Oklahoma to Elmer and Demie Payne Pelfrey. She married William Carl Harriman on August 31, 1937 in Morton, Texas. She resided in Portales for many years where she was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing and was a member of the 21st Street Church of Christ in Clovis.

She is survived by six daughters Mary Wagner Curtis and Lora Chandler Joe both of Portales; Geneva Cormier Wilfred, Frances Schwartz Laverne, and Geri Schumpert all of Clovis; and Carlene Mahan Charles of Gainesville, Missouri; one brother Eugene Pelfrey of California; four sisters Florence Jones, Lena French, Fronie Lee Levis, and Bertha Louise Powel all of California; twenty three grandchildren, fifty two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, Vera Harriman and Wanda Harriman, one son in law Fred Schumpert, one grandchild Anna Chandler, one great grandchild Jerrid Wagner, and four brothers Herman, Clarence, Norman and Grover Pelfrey, three sisters Flora Helvey, Delma Jones, and Donie Pelfrey.
