Lonnie Crowder

Lonnie Dee Crowder, 65, of Clovis, NM, passed away after a lengthy illness March 2, 2015.

Lonnie was born October 11, 1949 to Loren and Jenevia Crowder in Clovis, NM. He began his 31 years long career in education by teaching at Clovis High School and later advancing to become the department chair of Vocational Directors at Clovis Community College. He was granted Emeritus status with CCC and was awarded "NISOD" by the College of Education at University of Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Jenevia Crowder.

He is survived by his wife, Annie Crowder of Clovis, NM; son, Cody Lee Crowder of Clovis, NM; brother, Ronnie Crowder of Clovis, NM; sister, Connie (John) Smith; nephew, John Ed Smith; and niece, Aimee Cooper.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Steed Todd Chapel with Mario Trujillo officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Mario Trujillo, Daryl Bollinger, Ben Littlejohn, Bill Adams, Doug Cook, and Sid Simmons.

The family would like to give special thanks to PRMC Hospice and Hope Moyers, RN.

Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to ASPCA and Hospice.
