Monday, August 12, 2019 the beloved Lorenzo Eloy Montoya, “Lencho” went to meet his heavenly father.
Lorenzo was born on August 29, 1942 to Juan and Agneda (Martinez) Montoya in Santa Rosa, new Mexico.
Mr. Montoya was a Clovis, New Mexico local who was self employed, doing construction work. He was a loving father, Grandpa, and friend. He never missed one of his grandkids baseball games, and was active in his family’s lives. He was an avid coin collector, served in the US Army, and had a wicked sense of humor.
Lorenzo is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Agneda Montoya, brother and sister in law; Johnny (Lucy) Montoya, and sister; Barbara Garcia.
Surviving Lorenzo are his sons; Patrick (Kim) Montoya, Jerry Montoya, Daniel (Kenia) Montano, and Nathan Montano. Daughter; Monica (Tomas) Gallegos brother; Victor (Ruby) Montoya sisters; Margie (Ray) Romero, Eva (Ernesto) Chavez, MaryAnn (Leonard) Sena. 14 Grandchildren and 4 Great grandchildren.
Mr. Montoya will be truly missed by his loved ones, and precious family.
A celebration of life for Lorenzo Montoya will be held at the Steed Todd Chapel on Saturday August 17, 2019 at 10:00am. Internment to follow in Santa Rosa, NM at the Chavez Ranch.
