Lucianita “Lucy” Sena, 83, of Clovis, New Mexico was called to her eternal resting place and passed away on May 2, 2021 quietly at home surrounded by her family. Lucy was born on November 17, 1937 in Gonzales Ranch to Federico L Madrid and Guadalupe (Lopez) Madrid. Lucy was the first of 6 children Marcy Sena, Esmerelda "Lala” Coffman, Sadie Baker, Fred Madrid Jr., Tony Madrid. Lucy was married to Cecil Alphonso Sena on January 14, 1956 in Gonzales Ranch, New Mexico. Lucy and Cecil had 5 children Howell Frank Sena of Evansville, Tennessee, Catherine (Rick) Evans of Box Elder, SD., Carmen Zondor of Warrensburg, MO., Mary Sanders and husband Mitch of Lubbock, Tx. and John Sena of Clovis, NM. Lucy has 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents Federico and Guadalupe Madrid, her husband Cecil Sena, sisters Marcy Sena and Esmerelda Coffman and brother Fred A Madrid Jr and grandson Kirk Sena. Before marriage, Lucy helped her father on their sheep ranch in Gonzales Ranch, NM. She had a horse named “Bunny" whom she loved dearly. She married Cecil Sena and moved to Clovis, New Mexico. Lucy worked with her husband in their small TV and Radio Repair shop in Clovis New Mexico till her children started catholic school. Lucy was sales representative for a cosmetic company “Studio Girl" in Clovis, NM. She took college courses and was employed in 1969-1988 by Retirement Ranch in Clovis, NM as a CNA. she received recognition for (19) years of service. She was then employed by Golden Age Nursing Home as a physical therapist. She was devoted to her faith in God, loved work, home, and family. When she was young, she loved to dance, loved gardening, which was her favorite pastime. She enjoyed watching YouTube videos on her computer in her final days. A heartfelt thank you and Tidal wave of Appreciation to the Interim Hospice Team in Clovis, New Mexico. You all became family and dear friends to our mother and gave her the best of care, your love and support what a blessing. You were all so wonderful to our mother during her battle with multiple myeloma cancer. A life of gratitude to Dr. Yalamanchili at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock for making it possible for us to bring our mother back home in 2016. Also, to the hospital 4th floor night and am shift nurses and hospital staff (you were so caring and patient and paid attention to detail) Dr Leslie Donaldson thank you! Plains Medical Center Clovis, New Mexico staff were amazing. Thank you for being so kind to our mother during her stay at the hospital before we brought her home. To Our Lady of Guadalupe Church prayer, intercession and communion weekly, thank you so very much for being so kind and loving to our mother. She looked towards your home visits and she was blessed by all who helped in her transition and comfort. She returns to her union with our dad and God our Father in Heaven. God Bless everyone that crossed her path. A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday May 5th 2021 at Mission Garden of Memories at 3600 W 7th St. Clovis, NM. Deacon Daniel Chavez of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church will be officiating. Burial is at Mission Garden of Memories at 3600 W.7th St. Clovis NM.
