Lucinda Madrid

Lucinda M. Madrid, Age 79, of Clovis, NM passed away on April 26, 2014 in her home and surrounded by family.

Lucinda was born March 6, 1935 to Frank and Estefanita Solano Martinez in Encino, New Mexico. She was raised on Gonzales ranch and also Clovis, New Mexico. She married Timoteo Madrid on December 30, 1953 on Gonzales Ranch, NM. Lucinda was a homemaker for most of her life, and she also enjoyed sewing, cooking for her family, and she loved tending to her garden.

Lucinda is survived by her husband Timoteo, two sons David Madrid, and Patrick and wife Rosemary Madrid all of Clovis one sister, Rachel Alvarado of Albuquerque, New Mexico seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Lucy Prieto four brothers, and one sister.

The family will be visiting with friends Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 68:00 p.m. at SteedTodd Funeral Home in Clovis, NM. A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis, NM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis, NM with Father Fernando Saenz officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis, NM. Pallbearers are Jimmy Madrid, Stevie Madrid, George Martinez Sr., George Martinez Jr., Christopher Prieto, Daniel Pena, Ernie Madrid, and Matthew Madrid.
