Lucy Prieto

Lucy Angela Madrid Prieto, age 36, of Clovis, died Friday, January 21, 2011 near Canyon, Texas. She was born on July 9, 1974 in Clovis, NM, to Timo Teo and Lucindo Martinez Madrid.

Lucy graduated from Clovis High School in 1992 and went to cosmetology school. She became a medical secretary, doing medical billing at Plains Regional Medical Center and for numerous doctors. She loved playing Tetris and Solitaire, fishing, camping, and being with her children and family.

Lucy is survived by her husband, Manuel Prieto, of Clovis one son, Christopher Timo Teo Prieto, of Clovis four daughters, Jessica Manuela Prieto, Daniella Mauria Prieto, and Stephanie Sanchez, all of Clovis, and Crystal Ann Prieto of Ft. Worth, TX her parents, Tim and Lucinda Madrid of Clovis two brothers, David and Patrick Madrid, both of Clovis and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her grandparents.

A prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, January 28 at SteedTodd Chapel, and a funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 29 at SteedTodd Chapel with Pastor Rick Raney officiating. Casket bearers will be Ernest Madrid, Rick Sanchez, Jimmy Madrid, Stevie Madrid, Saul Prieto and Louis Prieto. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.
