Luella Kelly, 93 of Clovis, NM, passed away May 28, 2015, in Clovis, NM.
She was born to Chester and Lucia Hamilton on December 26, 1921, in Ft. Collins, CO. She graduated from Oklahoma College of Women with a Master's degree in Education and a Bacholor's degree in music. Luella taught at several different schools including Gattis Jr. High, in Portales, and at Ranchvale. She retired 1986 and was also teacher of the year. She was very active in Trinity United Methodist Church. She was in the choir, was the organist, and was the pianist at Trinity and also helped with the all the music. She loved helping in church, doing oil paintings, water color paintings and reading.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles Kelly, husband, Charles Kelly in 2002, and son John Kelly in 2005.
Luella is survived by He son David Kelly of Clovis; daughter Mary Grubaugh of Yuma, AZ (Elston); brother Chester Hamilton (Nedra) of Simi Valley, CA; sister Alta Dalley (Bill) of Portales, NM; 3 grandchildren; David Kelly Jr, Patrick Kelly and Michelle Key; 2 great grandchildren Jada Gooden and Tysen Key.
Services for Luella will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Scott Seymour officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Edwin Ford, Tom Weingates, Vance Dewvre, Alan Herman, Kaleb Herman, and Orin Dewvre.
