Lula Lois True, 93, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008, at Beehive Homes in Roswell, New Mexico. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 1, 2008 at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis with Greg Martin and Rev. Sam Walsh officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:30 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 30 at the funeral home. A memorial service will also be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Beehive Homes in Roswell. Pallbearers will be Doug Foster, Jerry Elliott, Ryan Elliott, Dick Wilkins, Bill Adams and Ronnie Moore.
Lula was born April 26, 1915 in Clovis to A. J. and Minnie Bell. She married C. P. Pete True April 4, 1936 in Clovis. He preceded her in death August 18, 2000.
Lula was a member of Advent Christian Church and loved her God and church. She worked at Marshall Middle School lunchroom for 25 years. She loved her family and they were her pride and joy. She was known for her baking of cinnamon rolls and chocolate pies; both of which have never been duplicated. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Teel and son-in-law Allen of Roswell; grandson, Kyle Teel, his wife Pam and great granddaughters, Kaylee and Sadie all of Caliente, Nevada and granddaughter, Jennifer Bogart, her husband Sean and great grandsons, Tanner and Riley all of Richardson, Texas.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Beehive Homes in Roswell for their wonderful care, love, and support. The family would also like to thank Roswell Home Care and Hospice for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Advent Christian Church in Clovis or Roswell Home Care and Hospice.
