Lura Rundell

Lura Glenn Rundell, 101, of Farwell, Texas, died Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at Parmer County Community Hospital in Friona, Texas. She was born April 9, 1906 in Bosque County, Texas to William J. Billy Annie McVicker Glenn.

She moved to Clarendon, Texas in 1932 and Parmer County in 1944 where she was a homemaker and farmed with her husband. She was an avid bridge player and was a Bridge Master. She was instrumental in working with Rainbow Girls and was a member of First Baptist Church in Farwell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Rundell on October 12, 1970. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis, New Mexico with Father John Rollinson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Terrace Memorial Cemetery in Farwell.

Casket bearers will be Lee Hutchins, Fred Chandler, Keith Ingram, Carl Hutchins, Leslie Curtis and Pete Fulcher. Honorary casket bearers will be Teddy White, Burt Williams, Shook Backstock, Robert Gillespie, Paul Williams, Pat Jackson, Steve Blair and Gary Blair.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Farwell Ambulance Service or to your favorite charity.
