Lynn Roberts

Lynn Roberts of Farwell, Texas died on July 20, 2013, at Lubbock Heart Hospital in Lubbock, Texas. She was born to Homer Whitlow and Mary Francis Linn in Kress, Texas on August 13, 1929. She was married to Bill Roberts on August 13, 1948, in Kress, Texas. She was longtime Farwell resident. Lynn loved teaching and her students. She also loved cooking, sewing, and gardening. She touched many lives through the years. She was Teacher of the Year in 1988 and Woman of the Year in 2001. She was a member of The Church of Christ.

She is survived by three daughters: Sheri Jerry Miller of Lockney, Texas, Melody Gene Sheets of Muleshoe, Texas, and Beverly Robert St. Clair of Lubbock, Texas one son Robin Karla Roberts of Lubbock, Texas one brother Forrest Jolene Whitlow of Lubbock, Texas Wimi was loved by her grandchildren Lindi Stapp, Wade Miller, Jana Miller, Brandon Sheets, Holli Myrick, Lane Sheets, Brooke Bieber, Braden St. Clair, Bailey St. Clair, and Callie Roberts. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Services will be 10:30 am CDT on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Fifth Street Church of Christ in Farwell, Texas with R.L. Richards officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Terrace in Farwell, Texas. Casket bearers are her grandsons Brandon Sheets, Wade Miller, Lane Sheets, Braden St. Clair, Jeremy Stapp, Jay Myrick, and Nate Bieber.
