Mabelena Monroe

Johnnie Monroe, 80, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Wednesday, September 06, 2006 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. She was born September 17, 1925 in Lubbock, Texas to John Mabel McQuary Crim.

She married Earl Monroe June 19, 1959 in Clovis and was a member of Forrest Heights Baptist Church.

She is survived by 1 daughter Cheryl Dayton King of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 1 stepdaughter Joe Marie Shields Dale of Portales, New Mexico; 2 sisters Lois Johnson of Dallas, Texas and Evelyn Curtis of Farwell, Texas; 1 brother Weldon Crim of Clovis, New Mexico; 1 granddaughter Michelle King of Albuquerque and 1 grandson Michael King of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and 1 brother Buck Crim.

Services will be at 12:00 PM, Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Steed-Todd Chapel in Clovis with Dayton King officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
