Mae Purselley, 101, of Farwell died Saturday, Jan. 14, at the Farwell Convalescent Center.brShe was born April 8, 1904, in Hatfield, Ark., to Wilson and Nora Davis. She married C.B. Purselley on March 12, 1922, in Texico. She moved to-New Mexico in 1909 with her parents, three sisters, and two brothers. They homesteaded 15 miles north of Texico, near Pleasant Hill, and she lived in that vicinity the rest of her life.brbrShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on May 1, 1969; an infant daugh-brter; a son, LaMoine Purselley; a grandson, Jay Sosebee; and a great-granddaughter Brandy LaValla.brbrShe is survived by two daughters, Billie Jean Sosebee of Carrollton, Texas, and Robbie Lea Payne Jimmie of Clovis; a son Jimmie Dale Purselley Vivian of Goffstown, N.H.; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-great-grandchildrenbrbrServices will be held on Tuesday at First United Methodist Chapel. Ran Loy will officiate. Pallbearers will be Bud Shipley, Rocky Williams, Morris Stagner, Paul Gutnals, Mike Payne, David Caldwell and Jim Payne.
