Marcia (Foster) Bell was born to W.N. and Gertrude Foster in Clovis NM on June 1st 1934.
Marcie was promoted to her heavenly home to join many friends and family, but especially,Her husband Jerry early in the morning of February 16th 2024
She was the baby of 6 children, and she never let you forget that.
She grew up on a farm in Oklahoma Lane just outside of Farwell, TX.
Marcie was never shy in High School. She had many friends and family in school and she even played basketball. She later attended Wayland Baptist where she also played basketball.
Marcie married Jerry Bell on December 26, 1954. They farmed in Black, TX and later moved north of Clovis and farmed and raised 3 children. Marcie was Jerry's best farm hand. (Even though she was really the Boss..and sometimes he forgot that! ) She could drive a truck and tractor with the best of them. And she could stand in the gate while sorting cattle. Driving the grain truck was Marcie's job! Everyone knew that when Marcie was coming... ya might want to watch out. Besides being a great farmhand, she was a wonderful homemaker. She was an excellent cook, and was definitely famous for her homemade German chocolate cake. (Always a hit at the 4H bake sale). She was an excellent seamstress. She was a 4H leader and a Sunday school teacher for many years and was always involved in church activities. Marcie and Jerry were among the original members of the 21st Street Church of Christ
Marcie and Jerry enjoyed the Curry County Fair for many years with their children and
grandchildren showing animals and being involved in the Tractor Pull events. Marcie even
drove the "Ding'A Ling" tractor pulling tractor one time which may or may not have been a good idea! In their early years, you would have seen them square dancing at the fair!
