alignjustifyMarcus LeRay Grau, 31, of Grady, went to heaven on February 10, 2007. He was born to Wesley and Elnabeth Teel Grau on October 24, 1975, in Portales, NM. Marcus was a loving big brother and cherished son raised on the Grau Charolais Ranch in Grady, NM. He attended Grady Municipal Schools where he pursued and captured success in academics, sports, showing livestock and FFA competition. His talent in high school basketball enabled him to compete at the collegiate level at Lamar Junior College on a basketball scholarship.
alignjustifyAt the early age of 15, Marcus met the love of his life, Mandi Michelle Abernathy. The high school sweethearts married several years later on December 31, 1994 in Clovis, New Mexico. God blessed them with three sons: Mason LeRay 11, Miles Landon 9 and Merit Lane 7. Marcus was an extraordinary father and husband. In fact, he often told people he was 'born to be a dad'. He loved the Lord and strived to instill Godly values into his children. Marcus' desire to raise his boys in the presence of God's love was reflected in his every day life. His dream to share his heritage with his family became a reality in 2005 when he and Mandi returned to the Grau ranch to raise their boys. Marcus was a successful businessman and God blessed his endeavors leading him to ownershipvice-presidency of Freedom Wireless Sprint.
alignjustifyThe passion of Marcus' life was to glorify his savior, Jesus Christ. He welcomed every opportunity to share Jesus -- his faith unwavering.
