Margaret Hendrix

Margaret "Jo'an" Hendrix, age 86 passed away on Saturday March12,2022 in Lubbock Tx. She was born on July 12,1935 to Bill and Alice Williams in Fort Sumner New Mexico. She and her family were raised in House New Mexico. Margaret and Billy Hendrix were married on  January 1, 1956. Margaret and Billy , in the early years lived in Clovis New Mexico and Pampa, Texas, before moving to Lubbock Texas to make their home for the last 65 years. Margaret loved her family and caring for lost and orphaned animals. Margaret is survived by her three son's, Raymond (Debra) Hendrix of Spade, Texas,  Randall Hendrix on New Deal, Texas, Rodney (Terri)Hendrix of Lubbock, Texas; and one sister Dortha Halcomb of Clovis New Mexico, one brother Billy Williams of Temple Texas; ten grandchildren, Michael Hendrix, Mathew Hendrix, Elizabeth Hendrix, Jessica Hendrix, Kayla Huering, Colton Hendrix, Kylee Hendrix, Camden Hendrix, Carson Hendrix, Kaycee Hendrix, and three great grandchildren.

A public visitation will be held on March 24, 2022 from 9am-1pm at Steed Todd Funeral Home. Graveside service will immediately follow  at 2:00 pm at Browning Cemetery near McAlister, New Mexico. Honorary casket bearers will be her grandchildren.
