Margaret Ann Riley Brewer, 66, of Clovis, died Wednesday, January 25, 2006, at her home. She was born March 13, 1939, to Leo Riley and Alice Riley Yourell, in Clovis. She married Bill Brewer on August 21, 1956 in Clovis. M.A. was a fun-loving, warm, and quick-witted woman who touched many lives with her love and caring and unending sense of humor. She was a devoted wife and mother.brbrShe began her career as a car-hop at the Foxy Drive-In restaurant and then became a manager there with A.C. Bryant for over 20 years. She also worked at Turners Department Store and Frame Art. M.A. never met a stranger. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and loved to write poems. M.A. always took time for others and will be greatly missed by many.brbrShe was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Alice Theobald, Marie Skaggs, Charlotte Wilson, and Pauline Pape. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Sid Riley and John Riley. She is survived by her husband Bill, a son, Barry Brewer and wife, Tracy of Kenai, Alaska, a daughter, Beverly Brewer of Clovis; 3 granddaughters; Kamela Brewer, Kelsey Brewer, Alicia Maltby Shawn Dylan and Carson, a brother, Earl Riley and wife, Marlene of Clovis, a sister, Betty Guthals and husband, Eugene of Clovis, a brother James Riley of New Orleans. Extended family members include many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.brbrMemorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.brbrA memorial service will be held at Steed-Todd Funeral Home on Friday, January 27, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a graveside ceremony. Services will be officiated by Eugene Guthals and Bishop Charles Green. Arrangements are under the direction of Steed-Todd Funeral Home.br
