Marie Christian

Marie Christian, 81, of Texico, New Mexico passed away on March 1, 2017 in Lubbock, Texas.
A graveside service will take place at Sunset Terrace in Farwell, Texas on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 1:30pm (CDT) with Gene Christian officiating.
Visitation will be held at Steed-Todd Funeral Home during business hours, 9:00am-5:00pm.
Marie was born on June 3, 1935 to Frank Roberts and Mable Stinson. She served for 19 years as Texico City Manager and after retiring, two terms as Mayor. She was also named Woman of the Year by the Texico Chamber of Commerce in 1975. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Education along with many other minor degrees, she then was a substitute teacher for the Texico and Farwell schools.
Marie is survived by her two sons Steve Christian and Jeff (Sherri) Christian; her two sisters Valeta Weaver and Frankie Webb, and three grandchildren.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband Bill Christian; her parents Frank Roberts and Mable Stinson; her son Jason Christian and her brother Harold Roberts.
