Marilyn Blair

November 29, 1919 — January 5, 2010

Marilyn Blair, 90, longtime resident of Clovis and Curry County passed away Tuesday Jan. 5 at PRMC in Clovis.

She was born November 29, 1919 in Dialville, TX to B. F. and Priscilla Acker. The family moved to Melrose, NM when Marilyn was 4 years old. She graduated from Melrose High School, and married T. L. Blair on July 1, 1937. The majority of their married life was spent in Clovis, while T. L. was an engineer for the Santa Fe Ry. She was a dedicated homemaker. She has lived at the Senior Citizen Resident Center for 2 years. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church, Clovis, and sang in the choir.

She is survived by 3 children: Keith Darla Blair, Alba, TX Kathy Cornish, Topeka, KS and Lynn Cindy Blair, Clovis 1 sister, Oleta Thornton, Clovis and 5 grandchildren: Dana Ken Donahue, Del Darla Blair, Tommy Cornish, Daniel Laura Blair, and Alan Blair 4 great grandsons, and 1 greatgreat granddaughter. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband T. L., 2 sisters: Maude Stone and Beulah Lockett and 1 brother: Clarence Acker.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010, at SteedTodd Chapel in Clovis with Dr. Joel Horne, officiating. Interment will be at the Melrose Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Del Blair, Tommy Cornish, Daniel Blair, Alan Blair, Cameron Burnett and Ken Donahue.
