Mary Lee Baker age 81 of Clovis passed away November 10, 2007 at her home in Clovis.
She was born August 27, 1926 in Blanchard, Oklahoma to Hubert C. and Bertha Troutt Potter. She came to New Mexico when she was 4 years old and attended school in Taiban and graduated from Ft Sumner High School. She married Robert Lex Baker August 27, 1943 in Portales, NM. She came to Clovis after her husband was discharged from the service. She worked as a Clerk for many retail stores and was a member of Parkland Baptist Church. After her retire she enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Arizona. She was a member of the Good Sams Club. The light of her life were her grandchildren but the de-light of her life were her great grandchildren.
She is survived by her Son Ron and his wife Joyce Baker of Clovis; Daughter Bobbie Loflin Fulks and her husband Bobby of Clovis; one sister Dolores Martin of Clovis; grandchildren Mark and Quila Loflin of St Louis, MO; Wayde and Jennifer Loflin of Oklahoma City, OK; Kari and Phillip Lemke of Clovis; Rusty and Tina Baker of Clovis; and Mindy Baker of Clovis; great grand-children Zachary, Jacob, Anthony, Cheyenne, Weslin, Lexi, Joy, Kristian, and Remington; two sister in laws Betty Witton of Ft. Sumner, NM; and Billie Jean Hamer of Slaton, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother Tuffy Potter and grandson Wesley Wayne Baker.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Parkland Baptist Church with Pastor Doug Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis. Pallbearers will be Scott Martin, Mark Loflin, Wayde Loflin, Rusty Baker, Phillip Lemke, and Rocky Martin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Anthony Silva, Zackery Loflin, Jacob Loflin, Weslin Lemke and Remington Baker. Memorial contributions may be made to Vista Care in Clovis.
