Mary Estrada

Mary Lou "Lulu" Estrada, 55, of Clovis, NM, passed away February 2, 2015.

Mary Lou was born April 30, 1959 in Muleshoe, TX to Luis and Lucia Estrada. She earned a Master's degree in Early Childhood Development. During her career, she worked at Headstart for 15 plus years and worked as Coordinator at CCC Childcare. She enjoyed get-togethers with family and friends, spending time with grandkids and great-grandkids, playing at the casino, and going to bingo. Mary Lou was a member of American Legion and Elks Lodge. She firmly believed family should come first and she always put family before herself. She will be deeply loved and missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Lucia Estrada; and her nephew, Victor Estrada.

She is survived by three sons, Bobby (Ivy) Sanchez of Midland, TX, Ernest (Jordan) Garcia of Clovis, NM, John Estrada of Clovis, NM; two daughters, Mary Ann (Chad) Roybal of Fort Sumner, NM, Georgia (Noel) Hailey of Lubbock, TX; one aunt, Lupe (Lawrence) Reyes of Gallup, NM; one brother, Albert Estrada of Clovis, NM; three sisters, Betty (Oscar) Trevizo of Clovis, NM, Victoria (Tommy) Estrada of Clovis, NM, Juana (Wayne) Lahti of Colorado Springs, CO; 18 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be from 8:00am to 8:00pm, with a memorial service at 6:00pm, Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Steed-Todd. The funeral service will be at 10:00am, Friday, February 6, 2015, at New Life Assembly of God. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories.

Pallbearers will be Sarafine Estrada, Louie Navares, David Navares, Steven Garcia, Jacobo Ortiz, Alex Martinez, and Robert Hermosillo. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews and nieces.
