Mary Field

Mary Christine Field, 88, of Dora, New Mexico, died Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Farwell Convalescent Center in Farwell, Texas. She was born June 18, 1920 in Ballinger, Texas to J. W. Mary Elizabeth Ingle Reese.

She worked as a tax assessor in Lubbock, Texas Odessa, Texas before moving to Dora. She loved farming, fishing, working cattle and she loved her family. She was a member of Dora Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Ron Field of El Paso, Texas and Don Field Vannett of Dora; grandchildren, Eric Field and Brian Field Melissa all of Odessa, Bethany Field of Dora, Allison Field of Alexandria, Virginia and Travis Field of Canyon, Texas. She was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2008, at Dora Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Baptist Childrens Home, P. O. Box 629, Portales, New Mexico 88130.
