Mary Frances Williams, 65, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Saturday, May 17, 2008 at her home in Clovis. She was born May 19, 1942 in Clovis to James and Doris Moss Dorris.
She graduated from Clovis Highs School in 1959 and later graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology. She taught at Marshall Junior High for several years and then became the Home School Coordinator for Regional Cooperative 6 until her retirement in 1991. She married Raymond K. Williams June 19, 1998 in Clovis. She was a member of First Christian Church. One of her major goals was to see all of her grandchildren received a college education. She loved to travel and go shopping. She loved animals and loved to feed the birds.
She is survived her husband, Ray Williams of the home; 2 daughters, Shirley Townsend Bob of Clovis and Janet Froeschle Joe of Amarillo, Texas and 9 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, James Dorris.
A graveside service was held Monday, May 19, at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens with Robert Pitcock officiating. Honorary casket bearers were Bob Townsend, Joe Froeschle, David Williams, Brad Bove, Matt Gerdes, James Townsend, Jeremy Townsend Tyler Fontenot.
