Mary F. Gear, age 83, of Clovis, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at her home in Clovis. She was born on November 13, 1927 in Texico, NM to Ira and Mary Shupe Selman.
On November 11, 1946, Mary married Charles Bo Jack Gear in Clovis. She worked for Mountain Bell and ATT as a Supervisor and retired after 35 years of service. Upon her retirement, they lived in Logan, NM for 25 years, and returned to Clovis in August of 2007. She was a member of Telephone Pioneers, Santa Fe Bowling League, Logan Baptist Church, and enjoyed waterskiing, fishing and cooking.
Mary is survived by one son, Danny Becky Gear of Clovis one daughter, Connie Richard Snyder of Grenville, NM two grandchildren, Michael Gear of Amarillo, TX, and Kristi Gear of Ruidoso, NM three grandchildren, Kaci Leatherwood of Bosier, LA, Jessica Cowan of Dallas, TX, and Tiffany Gear of Plano, TX.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister and two brothers.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis. Honorary casket bearers are all of the family and friends who loved Mary.
