Mary Gonzales

Mary C. Gonzales, age 84, of Texico, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at her home in Texico. She was born on September 12, 1926 in Texico to Abelino and Inez Lopez Cervantes.

Mary enjoyed quilting and listening to country and Spanish music. She loved western films with Clint Eastwood, and liked scary movies, dining, shopping, traveling, and animals. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Mary is survived by a son, Alfonso Gonzales, Jr. daughter, Julia McGown four grandchildren, Melinda Hancock, Christina Faircloth, Nathaniel McGown, and Jennifer McGown and five greatgrandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso Gonzales parents, Inez and Abelino Cervantes and six siblings.

A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday July 14, 2011, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with Father Sotero Sena officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis. Pallbearers will be Charles Shields, Nathaniel McGown, Allen Powers, Jeremy Faircloth, Toby Torres, and Damien Evans.
