Mary Hamner

Mary Louise Hamner was born to John and Rosario Tudyk in San Antonio Texas on March 25th 1930. She was one of nine children with her sister Alice Srutek of Taft CA, fraternal twin brothers Hector and Willy Tudyk of San Antonio TX, and Johnny Tudyk preceding her in death. She is survived by two sisters Erma Galindo of Panama City FL and Rosemary Allen of FL, and two brothers Oscar and Bob Tudyk of San Antonio TX. Mary is also survived by her three children Fred Hamner of Portales NM, Rebecca Hamner of Roswell NM, Arly Hamner of Portales NM and 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Mary was an avid Bingo player playing every Friday night at the DAV Disabled American Veterans, Saturday night at Sacred Heart Church, and Sunday evenings at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. She also loved to work in her garden. She grew and cultivated her own vegetables and even managed to grow a forty pound pea pod several years ago. She loved flowers and grew an assortment of species but one of her absolute favorites was the Peony Paeonia. She enjoyed her flowers and the hummingbirds that came to feast on them.
Coming from a big family Mary learned to dance and two of her favorite styles were the waltz and polka. Christmas time was a holiday favorite for Mary who enjoyed cooking for her family. She was famous for her chicken and dumplings and menudo.
